I have lived a life so well known to me of yesterday and today

I had lost my self esteem , lost my way to say stop for I had no voice

it has been kept silent, quiet, beaten down away not to be heard

fear had kept me silent for fear of retaliation of more abuse

I grow weary tired of being held down in the darkness all around

it is time to say so long to all that has kept me down and away

time to beathe in all the light I can take, all the joy I have lost to time

I will no longer be held at bay, my stick is strong my stick is true

my stick will protect me from the likes of you and others like you

my heart is not made of glass to be shattered by hatred and anger

my heart has healed and is made of steal to ward away all that is

dark and cold empty loveless hearts of bitter sour darkness

I have found a light so bright it has melted away the cold darkness

now I am moving towards the light keeping the dark behind me

I grow ever more strong to push away the old of dark and dread

now I fly with the light and shine with a glory that will long be

held in my heart to keep the darkness away for my light is strong
