Deux Ex Machina — Simia magna by DK Linda

My machine would be in an arcade— against the wall where the older machines reside.
A bit large and clunky- not as flashy as the newer, younger machines- but a few people still approach wanting to have a go.
Although sometimes I’m quite loud and colorful… I also have a pretty awesome and enticing chiptune.
Every so often someone will step up to play – they may forcibly grab onto my knobs twisting and turning without consideration. When their will isn’t achieved they may even bang and kick me- cursing as they walk away in frustration.
Then others approach—and with great thought and care, they delicately take my knobs within their finger tips and gently maneuver the play beneficially. The outcome is much different for them. They stay attentive and react in a timely way as the bombardment of doors slammed and barrels to jump over and ladders to climb continue as they traverse up the seemingly treacherous path amid all of the loud, stomping, chest beating in an effort to impede their long, winding ascent. Those who make it to the summit win a great friend.
