I am a dreamer, & I believe
That dreams can come true
I have suffered many trials
Many paths, bloody shoeless steps
And still I trudge this path before me
For I believe one day soon
I shall find upon this life’s journey
A pair of shoes just my size, just for me
I find a pond to wash away the pain
And I place upon my feet the armor
And thou I may stumble,
I shall not fall nor waver
For I see ahead of me another path
A path forged from blood and pain
Made smooth from my river of tears
And long suffering of pain and sorrow
I see a new day coming, just for me
And I will remove my armor
I shall leave behind, for one like you
Another sister’s journey to her path,
That she may find hope, and pass thru
Her own bloody trial, to her new path
