In the shadows of my life, the opening line was “you gotta a light?” It was the easy way- to lean in for a moment, to meet, an easy street connection. We all had lights in the shadows–we were the lights– despite all appearances…
Now in the LIGHT –people peer and stare , rate and wonder–almost positive you are not the light, Everyone is suspect under a glare of one lone bulb-swinging-
Interrogate her, She has to be wrong somehow, when it is perfectly alright to be camouflaged in the shadows, dappled with light—so unless we dare to lean in ..
We all pretty much come to the conclusion that we are not perfect, not all light maybe even just like me– ok with her shadows and scared of her light,
Because damn, it is bright !!
