The Journey by Jen Curry

What lives between silence and sound?
Between the space, lines,
paragraphs and chapters.
In book after book,
Life after life.
Journeys here, there, everywhere.
Within, without
and in-between.
Beginnings and endings
that seem
to appear and disappear.
One continuous flow,
sometimes smooth,
other times, rough and rigorous.
These physical,
mental, psychic emotions,
of our minds, bodies
speech that holds sound.
Noticing the subtle and sublime.
Allowing to be caught
cuddled and caressed.
By calm currents, wild streams
and hot springs singing and bubbling.
As waves warm and warn us
of rocky undertows.
Without boards we ride
the rising waterfalls.
Like colorful carousel.
We circle and spin like whirlpools
of fruitful joyful daring fun.
Speeding, revving up, slowing down.
To pause, ponder and place
the puzzle pieces into wholeness.
