I was afraid that maybe you thought it was beyond me
That all this daily briefing and bluster was a cluster –
fuck, then suddenly the tide of death withdrew, despite me
and all the shite we, had thrown at this germ.
The social distancing which gives covid no real pleasure,
Despite the fact that up until now we’ve had no measure
Of where our herd immunity stands, we simply know not
And that is what’s got, this chorus in me
Because the vaccine which we need hasn’t been invented
And though the front line teams have PPE for their
