TENZINS TRIBE by Beth Haist

Tenzin’s tribe is everywhere
Like the lime green
Of the aurora borealis
Zooming across the sky
Neon green among the firehaus reds
And the Madonna blues
Tenzin you brought us here
You unravelled enough
Of your light
To pull us all in–
You allowed me to see
What a life could be
Filled to the brim
With possibility
Because of you
Because of me
I don’t need to scan
The horizon anymore
For my tribe
My sangha
In a world
Where passion
Is an afterthought
To be written out
Solved
As over-the-top
So , I need to create
These causes of happiness
So, I need to embrace
That all I have to give
Is in between these two hands
And in this one
HEART
