SOME LOVE DIES by Adrienne Parks

Some love dies accidentally.
Some dies over the years.
Some dies falling out of respect.
Too naked to touch.
Some love wants to suck you up
in melodrama and vitriol.
That is not love.
Love is not impossible to kiss.
Love needs to be held.
It needs hugs.
Some love dies because
there is too much backwash with which to deal.
The angry unsettling kind.
that accumulates when there are too many demands.
And they too are angry, resentful, hysterical, enraged.
Some love dies purposefully
through neglect.
It can be for the best.
Love can move on.
And begin again
almost by accident
or with great intent.
