Remembering, Recalling and Recognizing By Jen Curry

Running up and down,
through stairwells of  mind.
Slowing one’s step to rebound.
Loosening the need to force or find.
Choosing to unwind perspectives.
Like, Escher’s drawings.
Twisting time, for reflection.
Under charcoal striped awning.
The Shadow’s safety cradles sacred skin,
from the burning sun’s rays.
While, thoughts bow to the violin.
Surrendering to the phenomenal display.
Uncovering the smell of blown out candles.
Moments flash into memories lighting the future.
Sharing connection on balconies and verandas.
No longer the doers we become the viewers.
