One year with the pandemic
Resilience, Gratitude and Patience
Have been key concepts

I have been privileged and lucky
All the way through
I still am
I have been resilient
I have been patient
I have been immensely grateful

Now patience is on a diminishing path
But I manage to guard Gratitude
And I fight to stay resilient

Cause there are things the pandemic
Cannot take away from me
I nearly manically hold on to that;

Spring is here!
The sparkling colours with it
The scents
The light
The warmer air
I will enjoy it with the same intensity
As in pre-Covid years

The pandemic cannot take that away

Friendships growing
Deeper and more authentic
Than ever before
Love comes with it
I cherish it massively
And plant it deep within

The pandemic cannot take that away

Visions of a future
Containing adventures and greatness
Happiness and joy
I do believe in it now
I will fight my demons
To stay on this new path
And expand it

The pandemic cannot take that away

My story
My growth
My strengths
My passion
My creativity

The pandemic cannot take that away

I am preciously grateful for that
And it gives me some Patience back
