Ocean is an Emotion by Lynn Finch

I decided to dive into she. We held hands dashed down the cooling sand into the sea. Unno where they say mermaids used to be. We swam just past the breakers holding on tight in the swell of a dark wave plunging and bursting up in the moonlight. I noticed of course her silhouette in the silver grey saline light. Oh my goodness what a delight. I wish that night never ended, but moons set as surely as sun’s, again and again. The salt water still tickles my nose, just like pink champagne or a fragrant rose. Long as I live I won’t forget the day I went back to our spot and watched the dolphins play.
