Not perfect // 2021 deep blue river musings @ Debbie Carrier

Blessings.
Messages.
Beneficial.
Thoughts.
Climbing.
Scaling.
Up above the wasted worries.
Longing. Hoping. Wondering
Who you really are?
Like a lit song
In a fast car
Like a still night in a deep pool
Like a warm track on a record
Healing
Me.

I wonder.
I do not worry, now.
I trespass through the areas I have studied, saying who who who
Is she? I lay it down. I let it go. I know they drew me to you.
You must be special.
Be something special.
Oh won’t you be someone
Special ?

Like spring in a breadbox
Fresh bread
Bread from heaven
Delivering
Delicate divine
Hands
That say “it’s ok
If you are not
Perfect”.

Cause,
I am not perfect.

Scenes on a wall I sensed you
Like you were coming
Out of Heaven
If Heaven was a place
Somewhere
Like castles
Like castles dancing in sunlight and all the childhood stories
Were right
Like so many rooms in so many mansions.

Away from all the horror
And finding glory

In a smile.

Like spring in a breadbox
Fresh bread
Bread from heaven
Delivering
Delicate divine
Hands
That say “it’s ok
If you are not
Perfect”.

Cause,
I’m not perfect.
