Hurt people hurt people by Fiona Goodwin

Shall we submit to the wounds of others?
Will we be corralled?
Into trusting their charm
That is the hook after all,
But all that glitters is not gold
Remember,
Our world is a mirror
A reflection of our inner landscape
What is done to me
Is in me to do to you or me
Here I am attempting to exit that maze
And I’m tired
Tired enough to no longer
Be dazzled,
blinded
Taken hostage by bright lights
