Hopeful To The Moment by Terra Kay

I was a spectator
of emotions and feelings
pain too great
to fully be present
drowning in darkness
After the parade passed
I landed back inside my body
my heart beat fast
my breath my own
My turning point
as usual
arrived on time
worthy deserving
becoming fully human
Night air blows fresh
quiet hours return as my friends
sunrise upon my skin
light enters day begins
my ears and other senses
newly born wet with dew
At last I am resurrected
in hope reborn
my shadow befriends me
once more
after all she knows the score
I am imperfection
and can live with all
that state of being
contains and remain
hopeful to the moment
on the rise
