Honoured by Fiona Goodwin

I am the procurer
The curator of the words and whispers of mostly women’s hearts.
I have been since April 2, 2020
It crept up on me
A weighty endeavour
And had I known it would turn into this,
This tribe of lovers and scribes
I might have stayed under the covers
Scared of what was being asked of me
To show up
To be transparent
To find kindness where my soul was cold
To take the slings and arrows,
From the cornered and the broken
But even harder than that to embrace the love and kindness of strangers
Who have now become my friends.
Thank you to the Fionians
What an honour and comfort to have a tribe in my name!
