Headbanging by Fiona Goodwin

Forgive me for banging my head today
I’m wondering what really matters
The Queen brought the country together
A pride and sense of belonging
Harry in the name of ‘authenticity’ did the opposite
God knows what Andrew did that day with his disgrace.
A family at war
And here, there is no royal family
Yes there is
There is prince Johnny and lady Amber
Some say none of this matters
In the light of dying children and guns
But we are all working out our own salvation
And stories are our guideposts
To truth
Our truth.
