Can We talk? by Fiona GOODWIN

Could we talk today about this and that,
Could we layout our dreams, far-fetched,big and small,
Tell tall stories of what lies ahead
Could I feel your metaphysical arm around my waist
Your whispering in my ear
The secrets, the magic,
The wisdom I need to hear
Will you let me thank you for all that is lost
Some things from my own foolishness
and some because i needed to feel the cost
Would it be okay to invite some friends
To join me, to witness
The play of my story
Together a tribe of like-minded souls
Courageous and true
Flawed and foolish
We just want a seat at the table
Something to do, someone to love something to believe in
Something to hope for,
That’s what I’m dreaming. Can we talk?
