I’ve been staying indoors a lot lately

I’m in a new relationship
A new phase should I say
Hoping that we work out
She’s here all the bloody time
Twenty-four seven in fact
It’s not like zoom where you can unplug.

Like any new relationship
There’s stuff we don’t know about each other
And then there’s the stuff
We do know about each other.
There are some things about her that I would rather not know –
Stuff she’s kept hidden
And then she springs it on me.
She can be a bit moody
And her cooking is not that great
I’d like to say she’s the one
We are coming up to an anniversary
In February
We will have been together 63 years.
