I pray and pray for Change
I rail against stagnation
And smallness
But the learning
Is often out of sight
And mostly uncomfortable,
I cannot learn what I cannot to see
So things break to get my attention
Not because the soul demands perfection
It’s just that we don’t change because we want to,
We change because we have to
Because it becomes too painful for the rosebud to stay closed
It’s heart and design is to flower and bloom and blossom
And I know that’s repetition But around the mountain
We sometimes have to go,
My soul wants the best for me
And I acknowledge
And pray for the parts of me that do not want to cooperate.
