Guantanamo Bay by Kristi Kirby

We were in Cuba on a Navy Base
Before it became a prison place
We were warned to be safe
We had to cautious where we went
And never swim past safe points
Or be at risk
We could be shot at
Or taken prisoner
But we didn’t care
We were in love and
Our hearts were filled with each
Other
Rex was his name
My boyfriend at time on the USS Detroit
We all called him Chip
We were the hottest couple to be seen
I adored him and fell in love instantly
He was hot and sexy
We were on leave in Guantanamo Bay
In 1994
Oh boy
Was it fun
We were exploring each other under the sun
In ways like I’ve never experienced before or since
He was scuba diving with friends and I was scavenging the sands
When he surfaced I knew what he wanted to do
Me too
Our eyes were glued to each other
We were fit and full of passion
We swam into the ocean
And we didn’t care at all
We started making love in the sea
So free
The best sex I have ever had to this day
He still lets me know privately that he never forgets me and that day
He is happily married with 2 children of his own
An oceanographer like he dreamed
In Florida
Doing good for mankind
I’m a lesbian now and that blowed his mind
I’m very proud of where I am
I’m still wowed by that day at the beach
We spent together
A wonderful treasure
Being young and lots of fun
Making love with the crashing waves
Exploding passion and all that stuff
But you know what
What I really want now
Is a replay
With a woman of my dreams
Who isn’t afraid to be
With kind eyes
Lips of wine
Who will be free with me
In an ocean of dreams
Making love in the
Sea.
