THOUGHTS by David Whyte

I have spent a good part of my life either preparing for leaving, in the act of leaving itself or being on my way to that somewhere over the rainbow: I have even at times had the rare sense of having arrived, but as human beings we are born to go from ‘here to there’, literally or metaphorically. Look forward to exploring the whole phenomena of our ‘essential travels’ – while staying at home in ourselves as we go. DW

A few of us have been lucky enough to enjoy an enforced time at home: but whether we have enjoyed our pause or not, many of us are bursting to get out into the world again: though with a sense that we will re-enter that world forever changed. I am very much looking forward to looking through the lens of poetry and insight, at the ancient human need for outward purpose and pilgrimage and the inner world we carry with us as we go. We are all inhabiting various forms of limbo prior to emerging again, this series is meant to help us in our preparation for getting back on the onward path: Please join me for ‘A Road Always Beckoning’ my Three Sundays In July, consisting of three hour long talks. Recorded also to be listened to in your own time.
