The beauty within By Fiona Goodwin

The beauty within,
The essence of who I am
Of who you are
Buried under God knows what,
Is the treasure.
I get distracted at times
Wandering in the shallows
Forgetting
That the blueprint to my destiny -and yours
Lies within.
It is the gold in the galleon
Sunk without trace – not quite
The decision to plunder the deep
takes dedication
And as the weight of water pressing down increases,
The familiar is left behind
But the joy and the souls and the love
That we find down there
Is nothing short of exquisite
The road less travelled is only for the brave.
