Space By Fiona Goodwin

I know when you wake up
And you have your coffee
and you take your annoying dog for a walk
I know when you leave for work
That you have 20 minutes on the road and you are free to talk .
You sometimes check in on your mother
So I get in first
If I hear strain in your voice
I up the humour to lighten your load
To increase your need of me.
It’s a charm offensive
It’s an ambush and
I’ve got your surrounded.
Knowing and anticipating your every move will make you feel how much I love you.
I will fill in the gaps in your day like wallpaper
Space is overrated.
You can’t escape.
