I FOUND MY CLASSED TODAY by Fiona Goodwin

I found my glasses today
You won’t believe where they were
They weren’t under the bed or in the car
Or in the pocket of my dressing gown
They weren’t by the kettle
And they hadn’t
Fallen between the cushions on the couch.
My glasses were in the drawer where I keep my glasses
The problem was –
I have so many pairs of glasses
All different prescriptions and useless
That I hadn’t had the heart to throw away
So I couldn’t see the ones that work
I think this poem might be about the value of decluttering
Or just trusting that something is where it’s meant to be…
