The hummingbirds are at play today
They don’t have Covid or taxes
I’m guessing they don’t worry about the future
They certainly don’t have unemployment benefit
I don’t think they worry about their purpose
They hover outside my window
Beauty suspended in motion
They feed their babies
That’s mostly what they care about
But in the meantime
I am blessed by their presence in this moment
Please stay a while longer.
