HIYA WALL by Rupert (Fiona’s younger bro)

If you have a roof over your head
The chances are there are walls
Supporting that roof

They help keep out the noise
Of the neighbours and the street

Some walls should be dismantled
Or even demolished

You might want to knock a wall through
And put in a window
To let more light in

If it is a load-bearing wall
You could replace it
Using a reinforcing steel joist

But only take on this kind of work
After consulting with someone qualifed
Like a structural engineer

And try to imagine
How you want things to be
When the wall is no longer there
