FULLNESS OF BEING EMPTY By Jen Curry

The mirror is empty
Who is this in the mirror?
Consciousness reflecting
a temporary illusion.
Heartbeats pound
in tune with chemical flares.
Igniting desire.
Starts a blissful fire.

Washing it out.
With Conscious stout
Blowing ego clout.
Don’t trigger emotion’s pout.
Seeing roundabout.
Day in day out
Present awareness.
No doubt.

Empty, yet fullness
Dressed in virgin wools.
Mittens and earmuffs
Carries foodstuff that glows.
Bound with handcuffs
Someone is naughty
rough and tough.

So pull down your mask
enjoy gingerbread women.
Drink from the flask.
This trimmed tinsel task
was written for a special
American Britain.
