There is an assumption on my part that expression is better than suppression

There is a time and place for disclosure and here in our poetry we find a gentle way 

To say things that might have been hard to say any other way. 

For some reason speaking this out in verse

And making art of our thoughts

Has created a safe space 

There is no invasion,

No sledgehammer of opinion

Just honest expression

Through thought out truth-telling, without

Againstness we befriend our suppression

We invite it to consider the possibility of expression.
