EXPOSURE by Jen Curry

One retreat after another.
Women replacing a Mother.
Didn’t know I was being smothered
Refusing a brother.
Tears streaming
From untold meaning
Seeps from all the unmet needing.
Not withholding the unfolding.
Heartaches I can take.
No longer have to fake.
Comforting all the mistakes
For everyone sake.
Dying from all the trying
So many lying
Only for their own satisfying
Antidepressants don’t stop the crying.
The pain feels like it is insane.
Calls to be claimed tamed and reframed
Saying what is strained
To stop the train and regain healthy Terrain.
