A NEW BEGINNING Rosella Gomez

They said you no longer work here
I said I understand why it is this way
Yet as I sit here and ponder my life
I no longer have my home I so loved
I no longer have insurance for wellness
I no longer have meaning to my life
A feeling of belonging some place
I feel so useless so thrown away
And now I have to find a new place
Where my usefulness belongs again
Dam you covid you have taken from me
All that I thought made me who I am
And then you came along my lovely
And you brought with you a tribe of souls
Where I now feel useful and wanted
And no longer alone in my anger and rage
I had to walk thru the fire to burn away
This rage and find the peace I now feel
I thank you my sweet lovely now and always
A shoulder for my tears an ear for my words
And a heart that gives so much

A new place a new life a new beginning

A poem from my heart to yours
